Curb Appeal - First Impressions

Image via   They say, "first impressions count", and this couldn't be closer to the truth when it comes to the curb appeal of a home, I don't just mean the home you pour your heart and soul into, it is just as important for a rental or house you want to sell, to have a great first impression. Being a home owner and landlord, I realise the importance of an attractive and welcoming house exterior. I am a fastidious person by nature so it goes without saying that my home and my rental property both have great curb appeal. Upholstered Headboard Inspiration

Image via Designer,  Public/Private A couple of years ago I posted a tutorial on a simple DIY upholstered headboard with step by step instructions. I used a neutral linen fabric which in hindsight was a little boring, so today I wanted to share some inspirational ideas with patterned fabrics. Adding colour and pattern in a bedroom is usually about introducing cushions , throws and window treatments, however a beautiful, upholstered headboard can become your showpiece. A colourful or patterned, fabric headboard can be the 'hero' in your space and the rest of your decor can evolve from this.
